60-year-old manager has rejected an offer to become the new Chelsea boss

Journalist Fabrice Hawkins has claimed that Jose Mourinho has rejected any advances to become the next Chelsea manager.
He claimed on Twitter that the 60-year-old is instead willing to take over at either Real Madrid or PSG.
In a long list of names of managers reportedly linked with the permanent job at Stamford Bridge, Mourinho has always been mentioned as some what of an outsider.

It has been claimed his spell in Italy could be coming to an end, and if it is he will certainly be able to look back on it fondly.
A Europa Conference League triumph completed his personal set in the continent, becoming the only manager to win all three.
Despite two successful spells in the past though, it appears he won’t be making it a hat-trick at Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho rejects Chelsea
Hawkins has stated that the Portuguese manager has rejected any advances from Chelsea, with things heating up regarding a potential move to France.
He said: “José Mourinho to PSG accelerates. It’s Luis Campos’ first choice. Advanced negotiations with his agent Jorge Mendes.
“Mourinho refused Chelsea’s advances. He could accept two clubs: Paris and Real Madrid. PSG owners will decide.”

Mauricio Pochettino is currently the heavy favourite to become the next permanent manager, likely picking up the role at the end of the season.
While things have gone quiet in recent days after reaching an advanced stage, it is still expected that an agreement will be reached that sees the former Tottenham manager make the move to Stamford Bridge.
If a deal is not reached though, it doesn’t appear like Mourinho will be the one who picks up the pieces and comes back to Chelsea.
