Chelsea have just been a handed massive boost in their efforts to sign £40m Premier League star – journalist

Chelsea have now been handed a massive boost in their quest to sign Brentford goalkeeper David Raya.
Journalist Paul O’Keefe has claimed that Tottenham are now looking to pull out of a deal for the Spaniard, with them at a point looking the favourite to pull it off.
Raya has just one year left on his contract across West London, and has reportedly no intentions on signing a new deal to remain at the now established Premier League outfit.

Reports had claimed though that their rivals across the capital were the favourites to agree a deal, after coming to an agreement on personal terms with the player.
However, O’Keefe has now claimed that the price requested by the Bees is going to see them pull out of any efforts to get a deal over the line.
Raya back on the market
He said: “Spurs look set to pull out of any deal for David Raya as they explore other options. Guglielmo Vicario is one name under consideration alongside one other leading contender.”
A goalkeeper is likely to be high on the agenda at Stamford Bridge after it became apparent that Edouard Mendy has agreed terms over a move to Saudi Arabia.

This will leave Kepa Arrizabalaga as the only recognised first team option at the club, and the majority of the supporters will be believing that they can do better between the sticks.
However, it has been reported that Mauricio Pochettino is keen to use the Spain international as his number one next year.
The new manager reportedly has belief that he can work on Kepa with his goalkeeping coach when they arrive, and they can hopefully use him as their backbone to help the club climb back up the table.
