Community Shield LIVE: Date, time and how to follow as Man City take on Arsenal

Manchester City will take on title rivals Arsenal in the Community Shield this August as the curtain raiser to the 2023/24 season.
The Gunners will be out for revenge against Pep Guardiola’s treble winners as the two teams battle to win the first piece of silverware of the new campaign.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta came close to delivering a first Premier League title in 19 years last season with his side having led the table for most of the campaign.
But a calamitous set of results during the run-in gave City the edge they needed to claim a third successive league crown.
The Etihad outfit then went onto secure the FA Cup and Champions League in a historic treble meaning the second Community Shield spot passes down to the Premier League’s runners-up.
City will be motivated to win the pre-season showdown having lost to both Leicester and Liverpool during the last two editions.

Man City vs Arsenal: Team news
City have no long-term injury issues to contend with ahead of this match and should have a full squad to pick from.
Mateo Kovacic could make his official debut for the defending champions once he completes his move from Chelsea.
Arsenal have several absentees and will need to monitor stars through pre-season, with Fabio Vieira the latest to be sidelined.
Leandro Trossard, Takehiro Tomiyasu, William Saliba and Gabriel Martinelli will all be expected to be back in action by August.
However, Mohamed Elneny suffered the most serious of problems when he underwent knee surgery in January and will be eased back.
