Which teams are participating at the 2023 Festival of Football?
Fans in Singapore can anticipate a week of exciting action as the city will host the first-ever Singapore Festival of Football. According to confirmed schedule, this tournament driven by CDG Zig will run from July 26 to August 2 and will take place in advance of the 2023-24 European football season. Before the new season begins on August 12th, Premier League powerhouse Liverpool FC will return to the National Stadium at the Singapore Sports Hub for a second consecutive year. Meanwhile, German champions FC Bayern Munich and former Premier League champions Leicester City FC will be competing alongside Liverpool.
Additionally, open training sessions will be held by FC Bayern Munich, Liverpool FC, & Spurs. The National Stadium, which has a capacity of 55,000, will be the venue for the two English teams’ practices, while FC Bayern Munich is anticipated to make plans for an open training session in the upcoming weeks.

After an open practice on July 29, Liverpool will play two games at the National Stadium. On July 30, when they play Leicester City, they will defend their ownership of the Standard Chartered Singapore Trophy. Then, on August 2, Liverpool will return to the pitch to compete for the Singapore Trophy against Bundesliga champions FC Bayern Munich, who are making their highly anticipated return to Singapore after their previous trip in 2017. Tiger Beer will serve as the presenting sponsor of the Tiger Cup, which pits Tottenham Hotspur against AS Roma on July 26.
