Footage from the England game has Man Utd fans convinced that signing Mount and Kane is ‘destiny’

A previously circulated incident involving Harry Kane, Mason Mount, and Marcus Rashford during England’s 7-0 victory against Montenegro in 2019 is resurfacing on social media as transfer rumors continue to swirl.

Reports suggest that Manchester United is nearing the completion of the signing of Mason Mount, who currently plays as a midfielder for Chelsea.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 24-year-old player has reached a personal agreement with Erik ten Hag’s team.

After turning down a £50 million offer from Manchester United for the English international, Chelsea is said to be seeking a fee in the range of £60-65 million for Mount.

United, meanwhile, want a “quick resolution” but won’t make a “crazy’ bid.

Amid preparations to acquire a world-class striker, Manchester United is strongly linked with a potential move for Tottenham forward Harry Kane.

According to a report from The Sun, United has urged Kane to take action and push for a transfer from Tottenham, as they become increasingly frustrated with the lack of progress in negotiations.

As speculation surrounding the futures of Mason Mount and Harry Kane continues to grow, a video from a previous match featuring the two players, along with Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, has caught the attention of fans.

In the footage below, it is evident that Rashford engages in a confrontation with Marko Vesovic from Montenegro following a heated exchange between the Qarabag defender and Rashford.

Then, both Mount and Kane rush to his defence. Twitter user and United fan@UtdEIIisposted the clip with the caption: “Peep the two players that backed Rashford.”

Here’s how fans on social media reacted to the incident.

One said: “Even if it makes no sense, this clip has convinced me. Get both these lads at the theatre of dreams ASAP,” while another wrote: “Mount always there for his teammates.”

A third added: “I was never Mount to United but after seeing this bring them both!”

Some, however, were unconvinced. One said: “Tactically speaking, those are obviously the two closest to his position with Chilwell. So obviously they would get there first. Relax.”

A second wrote: “Kane is the captain. If he didn’t back him it’d be embarrassing.”

A third commented: “Two players that are closest on the pitch arrive to talk to the referee first, absolute shocker that.”

Earlier this week, United left-back Luke Shaw said he would “love” England teammates Harry Kane and Declan Rice to join the ranks at Old Trafford.

“I would love a few of them to join – I am not going to lie,” he said. “I am speaking to them, telling them how good Manchester is, because I know their qualities.

“I know they are world-class players and they would be a massive help to us but I can only say so much. It is up to the club and whatever they decide, so we have to go from there.

“It is not normally discussed but, because of the time of the season and what is going on, there is a lot of talk, a lot of banter.”
