Galatasaray contact Chelsea over Aubameyang

Turkish club Galatasaray have made contact with Chelsea over a summer move for out of favour striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Signed just before last summer’s transfer window closed, the Gabonese striker found himself in a difficult position at Stamford Bridge almost straight away, when the man who wanted him at the club, Thomas Tuchel, was fired almost immediately.
He rarely showed the sort of goalscoring form in a Chelsea shirt that he had demonstrated for previous clubs like Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal and Barcelona, managing just 3 goals in 21 appearances in all competitions.
As a result he was often benched or left out of the squad altogether.
Aubameyang himself would prefer to return to Barcelona, but given they are unwilling to pay anything for him, whereas Galatasaray would offer Chelsea a fee for him, then they are ready to listen to their offer.
He still has one year left on his contract in West London.
