Gilberto Silva tells Arsenal to try and sign Neymar
Former ARSENAL midfielder Gilberto Silva has told his old side to try and sign PSG star and CHELSEA linked Neymar this summer.
Mauricio Pochettino is a man that will be heading to the club over the next few weeks after agreeing to take over from caretaker boss Frank Lampard – who will depart the club.
Neymar has been a player that has been heavily linked with a stunning move to Stamford Bridge – with reports suggesting that he is a player that Pochettino would like to add to his side.
PSG attempted to sell Neymar last summer but were unable to find a buyer for the Brazil international, who also wanted to stay at the French club.
However, ESPN reports that Neymar has changed his stance ahead of the summer window and is now keen on a move away from PSG.
Now – amid all the speculation and the rumours – Silva has encouraged Arsenal to make a move for the Brazilian superstar: “Everyone knows the quality of Neymar, I don’t need to speak about his quality,” Silva told casinosite.nl.
“I love the way he plays and I would love to see him at Arsenal instead of Newcastle because I love the boy as a player, but he also has a lot to contribute to football. He’s suffered some injury problems which have made life hard for him, but he has so much more to offer any football club.
“How would he fit in? Well, this would be a great task for Mikel! We have to wait and see, I don’t want to talk about a player who is still contracted to PSG.”

Neymar is still one of the biggest players in the game and his name will bring in alot of revenue.
But anyone hoping that he will come in and set the Premier League alight – will bang in lots of goals and entertain the fans can think again – he is not that type of player anymore.
Plus we cant see ARSENAL paying his massive £500k-a-week wages.
