International Round-up: Paquetá scores, Souček wins | West Ham United F.C.

It was another busy night of international action for West Ham United’s players, with three members of the first team squad in action across Europe and Africa.

Paquetá was on the scoresheet for Brazil in an international friendly against Senegal, but his strike was unable to prevent the Seleção from falling to a 4-2 defeat in Lisbon.

Paquetá’s early header – his ninth in 42 caps for his country – opened the scoring against the African nation, only for three goals before the hour to turn the game in their favour.

Marquinhos pulled one back for Brazil, but Sadio Mané’s second of the contest in stoppage time sealed victory for Senegal.

Elsewhere, Tomáš Souček earned his 60th Czechia cap as his side eased to a 4-1 friendly win in Montenegro.

The Czechs were always in control in Podgorica, with goals from Mojmír Chytil, Michal Sadílek, Lukáš Provod and Adam Hlozek securing a comfortable win.

Saïd Benrahma’s Algeria were also involved in friendly action, with the West Ham United man starting in their 1-1 friendly draw with Tunisia.

Finally, Thilo Kehrer was an unused substitute in Germany’s 2-0 friendly defeat to Colombia.
