Leeds United: Agent confirms star wants to quit, Elland Rd crunch talks set

The agent of Leeds United star Rodrigo has confirmed that crunch talks have been scheduled with the club regarding an exit for the player.
As per ABC de Sevilla (22 June), Rodrigo’s agent and father Adalberto Machado will meet with the Whites to discuss his son’s future.
And that future looks likely to be away from Elland Road and with Spanish outfit Sevilla, according to ABC de Sevilla, who have interviewed Adalberto and he says his son is keen on a move to the Europa League champions.
“We have nothing firm. I have known these days of interest, but concrete, no,” said Adalberto, according to ABC de Sevilla (pages 60 and 61, 22 June).
“I have an appointment now with the people of the club. We are going to fix all those issues and we will know soon.
“Clear. There is nothing fixed. But Sevilla, always.”

Summer exit on the cards
Given the club’s struggles on and off the pitch in recent times, several players perhaps made their minds up to leave Elland Road long ago.
But only upon their relegation to the Championship could such players finally call it a day with the West Yorkshire outfit.
That took place on the final day of the Premier League campaign, with the Whites condemned to the second division after losing at home to Tottenham.
But perhaps the likes of Rodrigo and other star players were already thinking about life away from Elland Road before that day.
The striker is definitely too good to be playing Championship football next season, with the Spaniard deserving of playing in a team that can fully appreciate his talents.
While nothing has been confirmed yet, it seems likely that a return to Spain and a move to Sevilla in particular is what the future holds for the 32-year-old.
In other Leeds United news, one big-name manager is now in pole position to fill the vacant dugout at Elland Road.
