Manchester City XI vs Arsenal: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup and injury latest for Premier League game

Riyad Mahrez is pushing for a start as Manchester City host Arsenal in a massive clash at the top of the Premier League.
City trail the Gunners by five points but have two games in hand, and can take real control of the title race should they come out on top at the Etihad and extend their winning run in the League to seven matches.
Mahrez did not play a single minute across the two legs in the Champions League against Bayern Munich, but started against Sheffield United in the FA Cup and scored a hat-trick to send City through to the final.
He will therefore hope to get the nod over Bernardo Silva on the right, while Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri should both return to the starting lineup after being rested at Wembley.
Nathan Ake is the one injury concern for Pep Guardiola as he prepares for the Gunners’ visit, with the Dutchman a major doubt as a result of the hamstring injury that forced him off in the second leg against Bayern.
Aymeric Laporte will likely continue on the left of the defence, with John Stones coming back in to take up his hybrid midfield role.
After two cameo appearances off the bench, Phil Foden is in contention for his first start in a month, but he may well have to wait for his chance again as Jack Grealish continues to shine on the left.
There are not expected to be any surprises up front, with Erling Haaland surely fancying his chances up against Rob Holding as he looks to add to his tally of 48 goals already this season.
Predicted Man City XI: Ederson; Akanji, Dias, Laporte; Stones, Rodri; Mahrez, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Grealish; Haaland
