The Frenchman has chipped in with 14 goals and provided 11 assists this term to help his side sit sixth in the Bundesliga table.

Diaby joined the German outfit from PSG back in 2019 for a fee of £13million.

And Leverkusen could now make a healthy profit, with the Evening Standard stating Les Parisiens could bring him back in a £65m deal.

The Ligue 1 giants are targeting young French players as they prepare to replace Messi and Neymar, who are facing uncertain futures at Parc des Princes.

Messi is out of contract this summer and with intense speculation over a move to Saudi Arabia, it seems that his days in Paris are numbered.

Meanwhile Neymar is also under scrutiny, with supporters keen to see the Brazilian moved on.

Diaby would certainly be a star for the future, but given the interest from Arsenal, PSG could have a battle on their hands.

The Gunners are keen to bolster their squad as they prepare for life in the Champions League next term.

However given the significant price tag attached to the winger, it remains to be seen who will be willing to stump up the cash needed to convince Leverkusen to cash in.

Arsenal were linked with the player in January after losing out on Mykhailo Mudryk to Chelsea, but instead opted to bring in Leandro Trossard.
