PSG superstar tipped to land ‘dream’ Man Utd move; ‘numerous’ Prem clubs also in the race

Neymar is reportedly set to land a ‘dream’ move to the Premier League this summer, with Manchester United holding the ‘most serious’ interest.

The Paris Saint-Germain superstar is expected to leave the Parc des Princes at the end of the season. Now, several English clubs are circling for his signature.

Man Utd’s prospective buyer – Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani – has Neymar in his sights as a potential transfer target. If the Qatari buys the club, the Red Devils could have a real chance of signing the Brazil international.

As reported by TEAMtalk, PSG are ‘willing’ to let the former Barcelona star leave this summer. This comes after thousands of their so-called ‘ultras’ protested outside his house recently, chanting: ‘Neymar, get out.’

Also, he will most likely be followed out the exit door by Lionel Messi, who is expected to join a Saudi club or return to Barca at the end of the season.

Neymar in the Premier League truly is a mouth-watering prospect. So, it will be interesting to see if Man Utd beat the competition for his services.

Man Utd interest in Neymar is ‘serious’

According to the Sun, ‘numerous’ English sides want to sign Neymar. However, Man Utd are the team with the most ‘serious interest.’

They note that Neymar has revealed his admiration for Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal in the past, and has always ‘dreamed’ of playing for a Premier League club.

Interestingly, Newcastle have been heavily linked with a move for Neymar, too. Although, Eddie Howe has claimed these reports ‘aren’t accurate.’

With that in mind, a switch to the Premier League is looking increasingly likely.

Neymar has long been considered as one of the world’s best players. This season, the 31-year-old has made 20 Ligue 1 appearances for PSG, scoring 13 goals and making 11 assists.

The Sun don’t state what fee PSG will accept for Neymar, but he is unlikely to be cheap. Also, the Brazilian reportedly earns a weekly wage of £957,000 (including bonuses). So, he would probably have to take a pay cut to secure a move to England.

Another risk attached to the move is Neymar’s injury record. This term, he has missed 15 games due to an ankle injury. This is another factor Erik ten Hag must consider before signing off on a transfer.

But, Sheikh Jassim does seem determined to get his man, so if he does complete the Man Utd takeover, we could see Neymar at Old Trafford.

Interestingly, Neymar could be joined by Marco Veratti at Man Utd next season, who is another of their key targets.

Therefore, it will be very interesting to see if Man Utd table a concrete offer for Neymar in the coming months.
