Report: Guardiola may now move to sign £50m Arsenal target early

Manchester City could move for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia a year early amid links to Arsenal and Liverpool.
That is according to TalkSPORT, who claim that Lavia is expected to be one of the most in-demand midfielders in the Premier League this summer.
The teenager looks set to be relegated with Southampton but that won’t stop interest in his signature.
Chelsea are very keen and have fancied signing Lavia for almost a year now.
However, Lavia’s former club Manchester City are interested too as they eye other midfielders ahead of missing out on Jude Bellingham.
City do have a £50million buy-back clause on Lavia but it can only be activated next summer.
City may accelerate their plans though and join the race to sign Lavia a year before that deal can be done.
Their cause may be aided by Southampton’s seemingly imminent relegation but they can expect a big fight for Lavia.

Arsenal and Liverpool want Romeo Lavia
This has been a dismal season for Southampton but Lavia has at least shown some potential.
Hailed as a ‘very special’ player by Jadon Sancho, Lavia is being backed to become a superstar in the coming years.
The 19-year-old’s performances this season have been attracting major interest though and City won’t find this race easy.
The Daily Mail reported in March that Arsenal had joined the race to sign Lavia with Mikel Arteta keen to bolster his midfield options.
Belgian reporter Sacha Tavolieri even told LFC Transfer Room earlier this month that Lavia’s agent has met with Liverpool this week.
The Reds are now right in the mix for Lavia and may fancy luring him to Anfield this summer.
This major race for Lavia may leave City feeling that they can’t afford to wait a year for his signature – and we could now see the top Premier League clubs all make moves to sign him.
