Report: Thomas Tuchel was seriously impressed by 18-year-old Chelsea player’s technique
Reports have claimed that former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel was left in awe of Lewis Hall’s technique.
According to The Athletic, the crispness of his technique was something that frequently brought him praise from the German
.It has been a real breakout season this year for Hall, who looks set to reach the 10 appearance mark despite being only 18.
However, you have to go back to the season before that to find when the teenager was making his debut for the club, as he started against Chesterfield in the FA Cup.
He made his attacking prowess known that day despite starting on the left of a back three.
The teenager picked up an assist for Romelu Lukaku, instantly showing what he can do going forwards.
This season has seen Hall feature predominantly as a left-back, as injuries have made their presence known in that role.
Tuchel really impressed by Hall
Ben Chilwell has spent large portions of the campaign out with injury, and will likely not feature again this season as the campaign lumbers to a close.
He has been joined on the treatment table by Marc Cucurella, who has certainly not had the easiest time since making the big-money move from Brighton.
This has helped allow Hall to feature more, and he may well be seen again before the season comes to an end.
The Englishman was held back from joining up with his country at the U20 level for the World Cup due to Chelsea needing his services after a plethora of first team injuries.
While this fate didn’t originally meet fellow youngster Carney Chukwuemeka, he has also now been kept as part of the squad for now.
Despite what is likely to be another busy summer at Stamford Bridge, you’d think Hall’s stock will just continue to rise as he gets older.
