Serbian striker now linked to Chelsea

Serbian international Dusan Vlahović, is the latest striker linked with a summer move to Chelsea.
He is currently with Juventus, the club he joined in January of last year from Fiorentina, turning down overtures from Arsenal at that time.
However, he has not lived up to expectations so far in Turin, and 23 goals in 63 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A side is a modest return given their investment in him.
Already they are considering selling the 23 year old, having missed out on Champions League football next season, after they were handed a ten point penalty by the Italian football federation for irregularities in their transfer dealings.
However, with Chelsea desperately in need of a cutting edge up front, Vlahović could well be the man to supply it if he gets the right service, and Mauricio Pochettino is known to be an admirer of a player who, not so long ago, was one of the most sought after strikers in Europe.

Andy is an exiled English football fan living in Cyprus. He loves all sports but football is his abiding passion, and he still has dreams every now and then about scoring the winning goal in a Wembley Cup Final, even though his playing days are long gone. He follows most major leagues, across Europe at least, and has a favoured team in each. When he’s not watching, listening, reading or downloading podcasts about football, he spend his time worrying about his beloved Arsenal.
