Shaw jokes he’s tapping up ‘a few’ England stars after cheeky social media post

Luke Shaw has joked that he’s tapped up ‘a few’ England players after he gave Harry Kane and Declan Rice a ‘tour’ of Carrington.
The England team are training at Manchester United’s base ahead of Monday night’s Euro 2024 qualifying clash against North Macedonia at Old Trafford, live on talkSPORT.

With Harry Styles taking over Wembley Stadium, Shaw has taken the opportunity to show some of his England teammates around the Man United training ground as they consider their futures at club level.
Asked about his antics Shaw said in a press conference: “There’s a few (players he is tapping up).
“It’s all a bit of banter really, we have a joke and a laugh about it.
“I am not too sure what goes on behind the scenes, because it is to do with the club. But of course when we’re here and together we have a joke about it.”

Kane is facing an uncertain future at Tottenham as he moves into the final 12 months of his contract.
Man United have been linked with a move, however they’re now looking at other targets as well due to the complicated nature of the deal.

The striker is keen to move on, but with Daniel Levy adamant that he wants to keep hold of the player, it means that a move away seems increasingly unlikely.
Rice is also facing the prospect of a busy summer after seemingly playing his final match for West Ham which saw them win the Europa Conference League.
Arsenal and Manchester City are both keen on the midfielder, as are Man United who are long-term admirers of the England star.
Whether a move to Old Trafford comes off for either player remains to be seen, but with Shaw putting in the hard yards to show the club off, it certainly won’t be for the want of trying.
