West Ham United: Stan Collymore predicts result of Brentford clash

Stan Collmore has predicted the result of West Ham United’s Premier League clash against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium on Sunday.
West Ham are looking to secure their Premier League status ahead of Thursday’s crunch Conference League second leg against AZ Alkmaar.
Collymore has predicted an entertaining affair with the Hammers and the Bees “having a really good go at each other”.
“The Hammers are safe and Brentford are middling, so will both have a really good go at each other,” said Collymore (The Sunday People, pg 54, 14 May).
Fun in the sun
West Ham are extremely close to securing their Premier League status, in fact, there’s almost no chance of the Hammers being relegated. Therefore, this fixture has very little riding on it. David Moyes will likely ring the changes heading into the clash against AZ Alkmaar on Thursday.

The Conference League is now the priority for the West Ham boss and he will be eager to end the season with a piece of silverware. Questions still remain over his future at the club, but the board could well look to extend his stay at the London Stadium if West Ham end the season qualifying for the Europa League and with a trophy.
It’s certainly been a hectic season for the Scot. He’s found himself under considerable pressure at various points. The board’s patience has been rewarded with the Hammers ending the season in decent form. If Moyes does remain it’s absolutely essential he steers the Irons back into the top ten. Another slow start could see him finally pay with his job.
